For the 2015 edition of the traditional Christmas Cup in Geneva (Coupe de Noël), there were more than 1’500 brave participants who swam into the cold water of Lake Geneva in the winter. The temperature of the water in the lake was only 8°C.
1’186 swimmers in the humour category and 355 for a speed race included 665 women, 876 men, some elfs, one Santa Claus, some birds, schtroumfs and eight dogs.
