Metaverse experience for FIPOI: 50 years of CICG

GlobalVision creates an immersive experience for the 50th anniversary of CICG

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the International Conference Centre of Geneva (CICG) in partnership with FIPOI, GlobalVision was tasked with envisioning how future conference centers might integrate immersive technology and artificial intelligence while maintaining human connection.

Creating a unique metaverse experience environment

We developed a custom metaverse environment on the Engage platform, providing an immersive experience that transformed the anniversary celebration into a memorable event. Participants began their journey in a virtual conference center, designed to encourage exploration and interaction. Following the official speeches, users were teleported to a distant planet, exploring the innovative effects and possibilities offered by these new mediums.

Deploying and managing immersive solutions

GlobalVision managed all aspects of pre-production. Consequently, we created the virtual venue and visual elements to recording speeches integrated into the metaverse experience. We also provided the entire technical solution, including 10 Meta Quest 2 VR headsets, management of projections, equipment sanitization, and overall event logistics.

The impact of total immersion

The immersive metaverse experience was unanimously praised by participants and clients. They gained a deeper understanding of the importance of digital convergence, and therefore its potential to transform the future of conferences and meetings. By integrating cutting-edge technology, we demonstrated how metaverse and immersive events become more interactive and engaging, offering an unparalleled level of participation.
