About This Project

IFRC: Augmented Reality App for Community Training

Concept & Solution: GlobalVision assisted the IFRC in creating an AR App to train local communities about the ZIKA virus and related diseases.

Client: IFRC, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies

Brief: IFRC – Zika Awareness Campaign: Creation of an AR App for community training about the Zika virus and associated diseases.

Augmented Reality app for Health Education

GlobalVision was entrusted by IFRC to create a cutting-edge Augmented Reality (AR) application aimed at raising awareness about the Zika virus and associated diseases. The app was designed to provide an immersive learning experience, allowing communities to train on the zika virus in a fun and interactive way.

Our team handled the entire development process, from concept to design, coding, and publication on both Apple Appstore and Google Playstore. We provided comprehensive services, including 3D model creation, animation, and interactive features that enriched the learning experience for users.

Teaching Serious Matters in a Fun Way

The app is structured into four chapters, each designed to cover different aspects of the zika virus and how to combat it. The first chapter, “The Pond,” educates users on how the Zika virus is bred and transmitted through mosquitoes. In the second chapter, “The House,” users are taught how to reduce risks and eliminate harmful mosquitoes from their homes. The third chapter, “The Hospital,” explains the impact of the zika virus on humans and how to recognize and treat its symptoms. Finally, in the fourth chapter, “The School,” users can test their knowledge through an interactive quiz complete with scoring.

Our team worked closely with IFRC to ensure that the app’s content and features were based on best practices and guidelines. We provided recommendations on content, design, and interactivity to ensure that the app effectively communicated the necessary information in an engaging and easy-to-understand way.

One of the most significant challenges was designing and coding the AR experience to make it realistic and user-friendly. GlobalVision’s team developed 3D models and animations to create an immersive and visually appealing experience that would capture the user’s attention and retain their interest.

Our team also ensured that the app was SEO-friendly and optimized for search engines, ensuring maximum visibility for the app and helping to increase its reach and impact.

After completing the app, we handled its publication on both Apple Appstore and Google Playstore. The app was met with great success, garnering high user engagement and positive feedback from IFRC and the wider community.

Overall, the project was a resounding success, showcasing GlobalVision’s expertise in AR development and our commitment to delivering high-quality products that meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. The IFRC app is a testament to our ability to handle complex projects and develop innovative solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives.
