360° Industrial Virtual Tour of Chancy-Pougny Dam

Immersive Industrial Virtual Tour for SIG

GlobalVision created an interactive industrial virtual tour for the Chancy-Pougny dam, located on the Franco-Swiss border, which produces electricity for the Geneva region. This innovative virtual tour invites users to explore the dam’s facilities and operations digitally.

The Chancy-Pougny dam was originally constructed to supply power to metallurgical factories but now provides electricity to the Geneva area. It is a run-of-the-river dam, meaning it cannot store water. The flow is regulated by the Seujet dam for Verbois.

Undergoing significant renovations in 2014, the dam’s four production units were replaced with “Francis” turbines, increasing the plant’s flow capacity and achieving an annual production of 250 GWh, representing 8.3% of Geneva’s electricity consumption. In 2015, the dam received the naturemade star certification, guaranteeing the high standards of energy production. This enables it to support the Electricité Vitale Vert product. Learn more.

Project Overview: Industrial Virtual Tour of Chancy-Pougny Dam

GlobalVision collaborated with SIG to develop a comprehensive 360° virtual tour of the Chancy-Pougny dam. This virtual experience allows visitors to digitally explore key areas of the dam, including the retention basin, fish passage, turbines, and machine room. Follow the SIG team as they guide you through this essential industrial site.

Benefits of Industrial Virtual Tours
